TAL Pro-Life Legislative Day

The 2026 General Election was a tough outcome for the pro-life movement in Texas. We lost key races, from Governor to Lt. Governor to Attorney General to the Texas Supreme Court. The pro-life protections we’ve gained, and the unborn children they shield, are now at greater risk.
The consequences reach well beyond the ballot box. The progress we have made to protect life in Texas is at risk, and the funding that sustains pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, and adoption agencies could be substantially cut back. These are the places where women facing unplanned pregnancies find support. We must hold the line.

Texas Alliance for Life stands undeterred in our mission to protect life, and we are preparing for the battles ahead. We will respond to new legislative threats, defend our laws when they are challenged in court, and fight to maintain our gains while preventing weakening exceptions. And we would love to invite you to join us in these efforts.

Texas Alliance for Life will host a Pro-Life Legislative Day on Tuesday, February 2, from 9–11 a.m. at the Texas Capitol in Austin. Following the training, TAL staff will visit legislators and their staff throughout the Capitol to discuss our priorities and concerns for the 2027 legislative session. Attendees are welcome to join us as we meet with legislators and advocate for life! Thank you for standing with us as we continue to fight to protect life in Texas.
